Motherhood is messy:
smashed cheerios under-foot…
drippy noses wiped with tissue…
puke on floors, potty accidents on couches, crayon marks on walls…
Motherhood is tiring:
endless pleas for storybook readings…
countless hours in the rocking chair…
many moments spent tending to fevers…
Motherhood is loving:
tight hugs in the morning light…
wet kisses after a hearty meal…
sweet “I love yous” after being tucked into bed…
Motherhood is rewarding:
potty training becoming a success…
big girl beds being used…
memorizing stories and “reading”…
curbing “blankie addiction”…
Motherhood is worth it. I’m so thankful I’m a mommy.
