Be A Friend
In the days of spiral notebooks and pretty headbands and life without much care, I had friends.
I laughed with them, cried with them, and yes, even fought with them. It took me a while to learn how to be a true friend.
Now that life has handed me a baby girl and a husband, I don't get out much. I love my family and I spend a lot of time with them.
But I do know that I need the companionship of a true friendship.
I need a friend who'll share a cup of coffee with me and be honest with me.
I need a friend who will stand by me.
I need a soul sister, one who understands and comforts.
I need a cheerleader and a spiritual companion to share this God-lead road with me.
Until that day, maybe I can start by being that friend and striving every day to be a kind heart.
